"This letter is to inform you. . .

"that your petition has been forwarded to the appropriate visa-issuing post where the adoption interview will take place."

Dated June 25, 2010, this letter lets us know that our request for a visa for Joseph has been forwarded to the Consulate General of the United States in Guangzhou, People's Republic of China.

Now we wait for the date of our interview appointment -- which will determine when we travel to China. We're getting closer!

Celebrating every hurdle cleared!

  1. Oh good! I was worried you had not received your I-800 yet.

  2. Thanks Chris. Looks like we are a couple of weeks behind you so I don't know if we'll travel together. I'm still so fogged about how all this works. My "perfect date" for travel would be September 6. Julia's b'day is September 5 and she doesn't want us to be gone. I'd love to celebrate with her and then go get Joseph. I know God's timing is perfect and this is so out of my control.
